| Capparis are a farm based producer of hand made goat milk cheeses. The Capparis farm is based in the foothills of the Barrington Tops near to Gloucester in New South Wales. All the milk is provided by our herd of predominantly Anglo Nubian goats. These are famed for the quality and richness of their milk for the purpose of cheesemaking. Aled Hoggett, Master Cheesemaker at Capparis produces a range of cheeses. These include a light fragrant Curd, a soft, moist, mild Fresh log, a lightly salted, crumbly Feta and a ripe, soft rind, camembert style White round. Capparis cheeses have received over thirty awards in recent years (including several Gold medals and Maker of the Best Goat Cheese at the Royal Easter Show). The cheeses feature on the menus of top restaurants in Sydney and Newcastle and are sold directly at Eveleigh (Sydney) and Broadmeadow (Newcastle) produce markets. |
